RiverBend is one of the hardest working and talented bands to come out of Seattle... look for big things from these kids.

Apple war is the best band hands down to ever grace seattles underground scene. Absolute power and grace, fire and ice coming together in perfect harmony. Nick fulwiler is a great artist and really brings the band to the utmost of greatness. Let's keep these guys goin and support them, for they are definitly one of the most talented groups of individuals to ever take the stage. Such a great band.

The northwest regions of the United States is home to some of the most influential artists and bands of our generation. In all my searching for music outside the format radio "box" I find myself gravitating again and again to the San Francisco - Portland - Seattle music scene.
Is it the beautiful foliage paired with it's (relatively) temperate weather coupled with rain that keeps many in doors with guitars and basement indie bands? Perhaps it's the climate of IT professionals moving in and around Silicon Valley with no other creative outlets than their MOOG pianos and their Pro Tools LE setup on their girlfriend's computer.
Whatever the case may be, keep on drumming, glockenspieling, and acoustic guitaring into that cheap microphone. And let your girlfriend check her email once in awhile. Maybe she can help you set up your myspace page...

Destruction Island Preaches the New Wilderness is the best

I love Destruction Island's "Destruction Island Preaches The New Wilderness". This is my favoroite Northwest release of 2008. If you ever have a chance, go see them onstage. These guys are veterans of the Northwest scene and they give a great show; the patter is really good, and the way the move around the floor makes you think they are going to knock it all down! Not to mention, of course, that they have a really unique noise. You will never mistake any other band for Destruction Island!
