Los Campesinos! rule... watch this video for proof

Thanks to Curt for ruling and sending me the link to the video for the Los Campesinos! song "The International Tweexcore Underground." Now we finally have proof that they have great hair styles and can totally rock out.

i was curious as the statement they are making with this song. I only listened to it twice. they diss on amelia fletcher, calvin johnson, and sarah records but then it is called International Tweecore Underground. They also diss on henry rollins and ian macaye...

Apparently it's supposed to be a story about two friends that are in a band togeter, but have completly opposite tastes in music. Hence the Rollins/Fletcher et. al dissing. But I'm imagining the title has something to do with bringing it all together. Plus I think it's kind of cool that the made the boy character the twee one, and the girl character the hardcore one. Even better, the B-sides of the single will have covers of Black Flag's "Police Story" (!) AND Heavenly's brilliant Amelia/ Calvin duet "C is the Heavenly Option" !!! I'm a little excited for that one:) Here is the article where I discovered all of this for more details:

These guys are pretty cool, along the lines of Architecture in Helsinki, At their Lollapalooza aftershow party Neil gave away a pair of his jeans.They have some good stories about what motivated their lyrics.
