In a perfect world, the Hives and the White Stripes are BFFs
Submitted by imaginary liz on August 14, 2007.I was just looking over the awesome line-up of shows coming Seattle's way this fall and got daydreaming... wouldn't it be a killer bill to have the Hives and the White Stripes tour together?
Both bands have a fairly strict dress code and marketing aesthetic, both have a specific, no holds barred performance standard, and I imagine they'd become best friends -- to the point that they'd release a duet or two after the tour... or even join each other on stage (and what would they wear!?).
Are there any dream touring match-ups floating around your head?

How about Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse? Granted both would need to stay sober and be allowed in the country at the same time.
I usually spend my time dreaming of Sienna Miller and Scarlett Johansson...whoops...uhh...nevermind. I mean just think of how awesome a tour of Cat Power and Regina Spektor or Big Star and Foutains of Wayne would be. If either of those tours occurred, I'd quit my job and follow them around the country at hit every single stop.

Too bad the Hives are touring this fall with a much less pleasing color-named band: Maroon 5. Who dreamed up that match?
BUT, in our greatness, Seattle not only WON'T be visited by Maroon 5, we get the Hives at the Sodo Showbox on one of their off nights.
Obviously Baby Jesus loves us.

Oh - and I think it is perfect that Tegan and Sara and Northern State are touring together. Glad someone read my mind on that.
