Amy Winehouse overdose?
Submitted by Erik Gonzalez on August 9, 2007.Looks like Amy Winehouse isn't enjoying her success that much. NME is reporting that she had to get her stomach pumped after a suspected drug overdose. At first her people were saying she needed to be admitted to the hospital for "exhaustion" but it was later discovered she not only got her stomach pumped but had to get an adrenaline shot as well.
Hope she gets better after this, and maybe she should think about heading to rehab at this pace.

Well, you don't write songs about not wanting to go to rehab and then act like this. Poor Amy.

Funny, I read this headline and thought it was about being a little sick of reading/hearing so damn much about the ubiquitous Ms. Winehouse of late. I can say that I have had an Amy Winehouse overdose. I do hope she's all right, though, and gets the help she needs.

Yeah, she's a complete trainwreck for sure. Doesn't make me like her record an iota less, but it makes me wonder about her staying power...
I hope she pulls through it all!

Memo to igDana:
Death works wonders for staying power.

Ahh, good point. Tragic point, but a good one.
Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Poor Amy. Hopefully we'll get a chance to bond and really talk, ya know, when she makes it out to Seattle.
Or if she does.

winehousesucks, you are a moron. obviously, amy knows a lot about music because she's signed onto a major label and has sold millions of copies of her album. since you know so much more about music than she does, why don't you have a record deal and an album out? LOSER!

Wow, how close to the rockstar death age of 27 is Amy? Check this quote from a “friend” on Amy’s supposed 3-day booze & drugs bender:
"She looked like a zombie — white as a sheet and trembling. And I'll never forget her eyes. They were dead, like a shark. Even Amy says she will be dead within one year."
She's apparently now gone to rehab. You can read the whole story at Pink is the New Blog (http://www.trent.blogspot.com/).

@ 11, Kambrell M.
Just because someone is signed to a major label and has sold millions of records, doesn't mean they know a lot about music. Case in point: The majority of pop bands. Look at much joked about on TIG band, Metallica. Sold tons of albums, still suck ass.

Amy Winehouse must be a very unhappy young lady. For that, I am sorry. What makes her that way?
Could she be a clinically depressed person who could benefit from antidepressants? Not if mixed with alcohol & Cocaine though. Too bad. Is she doing a Kurt Cobain type of ending?

COULD IT TRULY BE THAT EVERYONE ON THIS PAGE IS HEARING OF A DISEASE CALLED ADDICTION FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME? SHE'S NOT A "STUPID BITCH" OR A "DUMB BITCH" OR A "TRAIN WRECK" SHE'S A GARDEN VARIETY JUNKY STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION LIKE MILLIONS OF UNKNOWN AMERICANS ALSO STRUGGLE EVERY DAY THIS DISEASE DOES NOT MAKE HER MORE OR LESS THAN ANYONE ELSE - GET A CLUE

well, that's an incredibly ignorant statement of indie-pop snobbery. no matter how many reviews you read on TIG or in the Stranger your opinions still suck ass.

we all know that if a major picks up a band or musician, that they must be good.

Why am I not surprised to hear about this? Amy Winehouse defies the nature, I wonder how she handles so many drugs... I don't think we'll ever see her in drug rehab, just like she says in that song, she seems to enjoy drugs too much.

You've been dyin' to use that line, haven't you? ;)
