Has anybody tried Goombah yet? What the heck is Goombah, you ask? Well, according to its homepage:
You're a person, not a demographic. Goombah gets that. It scans your iTunes library, finds people that like your style, and makes recommendations from their collections. Rather than cookie-cutter genre output, you get music that fits all of you.
I've tried other services that have promised to find me new music based on my tastes, but this one seems to be a lot more involved, featuring a more user-friendly interface and offering lots of free downloads. Anybody taken it for a spin yet?

I know. That's generally how I feel about any new interweb phenomenon. (See also Twitter, which I've surprisingly grown to quite like.)

and I can't figure out what it wants me to find...iTunes Music Library.xml, it doesn't seem to be working :\

I never said I knew what the heck to do with it, once you get it.

It wants you to locate the iTunes Music Library.xml? That should be located right in the root directory of your itunes music folder I *believe*, but I think mac may make the file hidden entirely (and it's near impossible to see those files without like a hacking-widget-dealy), Windows should show it if you check "show hidden files"...
If I weren't at work I'd try it myself!

hey, hey now! I float around here in the imaginary world to *escape* my reality, not to unify the two. hahaha. But I guess if nerdery had a grip-strengh tester like at the fair, or in Scientology, I'd get up near the top!
