Tonight's Recommended Show: Arthur & Yu {album release}, A Sunny Day In Glasgow, and My Teenage Stride at the Crocodile
Submitted by imaginary liz on June 21, 2007.It's been a while since I've been this excited about an entire bill. Tonight's Crocodile is solid from soup to nuts!
Opening it up is Brooklyn's My Teenage Stride who combine stellastarr* glitziness and retro airiness of the Velvet Underground (or is it the Aislers Set?). (Second on the bill) A Sunny Day in Glasgow (from Philadelphia) piqued my interest by earning this Pitchfork exclamation:
'Recommended' -- ...gorgeous, submerged tunes!...Dizzy? No, dazzled!
The whole night is capped off with an album release celebration for Arthur & Yu -- who have a place in my heart if for no other reason than they are the first signing to Jonathan Poneman's Hardly Art label.

I wish I were already in Seattle instead of moving there in two weeks because I love A Sunny Day in Glasgow...their album "Scribble Mural Comic Journal" is one of my favorite albums of 2007.
