Hillary Clinton: Not the Modern Rock Queen we thought
Submitted by Erik Gonzalez on June 19, 2007.(Lab Lunchbreak News!)
And there goes Hillary's youth vote for 2008.
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) has apparently picked "You & I" by Celine Dion (?!) as her campaign song for 2008. Yes, my friends, Celine Dion. If you want to see it for yourself, watch this bizarre Sopranos-inspired clip from Hill's website. (And jeez, Bill, you can't even get out of the 90's - you're rooting for Smash Mouth to win?)

Yea - it makes sense though. Haven't you heard? We're all apathetic and too stoned to actually vote on election day. Let her secure the soccer mom vote with Celine, and her running mate can convince 'the future of America' to vote for their ticket.
BTW, any ideas who she should think of for a running mate? Did you hear that Obama has Oprah's support? The first time she's ever supported a candidate. Can't do worse than the lady named the most powerful person ever (but some newstand maggie).

PS ~ She does know that, in addition to completely sucking it back and forth, Celine is Canadian, right???
Speaking of which, should we all start making our expat plans now? (again?)
Erik Gonzalez said on June 19, 2007:
It's even better, Celine is not only Canadian, but French-Canadian. Let the talk radio jokes begin!

Oh good grief. Any word on what Obama's song will be?? I'm trying to hold out hope for the big D's...

Talk radio jokes HAVE begun — heard this on NPR while driving through Harvard Square earlier...
Listen to the clip. Very funny.

It's OK, because Mitt Romney selected G.G. Allin's "Suck My Ass It Smells" as his campaign song.
