Seems like Conor has been hitting the bottle hard lately, potentially running offstage to puke mid-set, baffling audience members, and drunkenly gifting guitars away midset (before you get too excited and decide to storm the front row, the manager has been grabbing them back).
I'd like to say these are mean malicious rumors, but the article contains some compelling YouTube footage.
Sorry, igLiz. First a Regina recommendation, and now this. At least you can laugh it off tonight.

The only thing I am against is that long hair. It really doesn't do much for the stumbling drunk look.

At least the headline is "Bright Eyes is Generous When He's Drunk" not "Bright Eyes is an Asshole When He's Drunk" or "Bright Eyes Kicks Baby Puppies When He's Drunk".

Nah -- this is totally cool. Conor is a tortured soul and he is momentarily finding consolation in the bottle. (OK, so he often finds consolation in the bottle.)
I'm sure he's feeling some residual guilt over the success of the new album (he's often said that his friends' records are much better than his own). We all know how hard life is for the artistically brilliant.
The only thing that bothers me is that he HAS to make it through the age of 27 (which is how old he is now). You know the bad luck surrounding that age.
Only 6 days left until the Bright Eyes show at the Paramount. I've got tix for the general admission floor area. I - REALLY - CAN'T - WAIT - !
