Conor must be in tears now

Ah well, it was a fun revolution while it lasted.

After chart-toppers from Modest Mouse and the Arcade Fire (OK, it was a #2), I fully expected that Bright Eyes new album, Cassadaga, would enter the Billboard chart at #1. Well, I was 3 spots off, as Yahoo! reports that Cassadaga enters at #4 with 58,000 records sold. NOW 24 and Tim McGraw jumped back up to the top 2 spots, leaving Conor to merely be content with having the highest debut on this charts for this week (and highest for Bright Eyes ever).

They must have counted Liz's multiple purchases...

Seriously, though -- yay #4!

The tears only mean more Bright Eyes songs, right??

I am so happy for Conor... and PROUD!

58,000 people is a lot of people with which to discuss the harmonies of "Classic Cars" or the subtleties of the recording used in "Clairaudients (Kill Or Be Killed)."

Countdown to the Bright Eyes show at the Paramount=13 more days!

A couple of things I noticed in this week's charts:

- TIG favorite Amy Winehouse has worked her way up to #12 (from #22 the previous week)
- Art-rock faves Blonde Redhead debuted at #63. Wow!
