Only slightly wrong. But that's what makes it fun.

He and the two other leads have signed for all seven of the film adaptations of the Harry Potter series. Meanwhile, though, Daniel Radcliffe is doing Equus on the West End, and he'll strip again in the film December Boys (due Sept 07).

So, when he isn't waving his wizard's wand, he's working hard at showing he's a man. All puns intended.

Smartest thing he could do for his career. If he doesn't branch out now there's no way he'll ever be anything but the wizard kid. It would be like Macauley Culkin was for so long (until his triumphant return in Saved, that is).

Although, before Embracey points it out, there was The Good Son. But I don't like to think about that film.

Agreed - and it's just the right time for Radcliffe to distinguish himself. He and the other two leads will be in their early 20s by the time the 7th film is released.

Rupert Grint (Ron) is already doing light comedy, which seems to suit him well.

But I'll be most interested to see what Emma Watson (Hermione) does after it's all over. Word has it that she isn't thrilled with continuing past the fifth Potter, and she hasn't done any other film work at all. I'd love to see her become an edgy indie darling in the next chapter of her career.
