SIFF brought imaginary boy embracey from the sultry South to the natty Northwest in 2000, and the following year a volunteer gig at KEXP brought him together with two of the three IGs who created the very site you're perusing. Which is a long way of saying that 1) this town has some cool shit and 2) he can't believe he's been an imaginary PNW-dweller this long.
