imaginary boy embracey
SIFF brought imaginary boy embracey from the sultry South to the natty Northwest in 2000, and the following year KEXP brought him together with two of the three soon-to-be IGs who created the very site you're perusing. Which is a long way of saying that 1) this town has some cool-ass shit and 2) he can't believe he's been an imaginary PNW-dweller this long.
When he isn't busy toiling for the Man, being the Film and Theater editor for Three Imaginary Girls, or blogging on the spiffy new site, he's, um, seeing lots of films and lots of theater. He likes indie music, too, and credits TIG for improving his taste these past few years.
You can read most of embracey's coverage in the Film & Theater section, or just Netflix every title on his Best of 2006 and Best of 2007 lists. Be sure to let him know what you liked (and what you didn't).
