Latest comment by: keenan dowers: "OMG it's Nana Grizol Day!"
From an informal poll of recent friends' twitters, it looks like it's been a rough week for a lot of us.
Just when I was about to start self-medicating with diet soda and a bucket of leftover Halloween candy, Nana Grizol emailed us and offered a brand-spanking new, never been posted, beauty of a song that is going to be on the next Nana Grizol album Ruth (Orange Twin Records, January 12, 2010)!!!
As I was hoping, "Galaxies" is a brass horn-filled, jangle-ridden, heart-wrenching sing-along piece of pop wonderment (download it now!) and is a great follow up to the first sneakpeek from the upcoming album, "For Things That Haven't Come Yet" (download it).
If you're outside of Seattle, looks like you might be in Nana Grizol luck:
Latest comment by: Scott: "Hey! I just wanted to let you know that I saw them in DC last week and bought Ruth from them and it is so great! So, heads up about that!"
Latest comment by: rachel lee: "Madeline has been one of my fav's for a while now. There are several mp3's posted for download on her site: http://madelinesongs.com/music.html Maybe if we share her with all our friends she'll have no choice but to visit Seattle again! "
Sure today might be most notable for being the birthday of Stevie Wonder AND Stephen Colbert or the fact that the long awaited Death Cab AND Black Angels albums are hitting the street.
But, what I'm most excited about today is...
Latest comment by: imaginary liz: "Awesome news! That you'll be getting more in stock and that it's flying off the shelves!"
Dear friends, watch out, because I've found a band that brings all of my favorites together in an unfeigned Athens, GA wrapper.
Latest comment by: Imaginary Shrie: "wowzers. i love love love orange twin."
Yesterday, some intrepid young YouTube user posted the trailer of the bound-to-be-beyond-bizarre Major Organ and the Adding Machine film, set to be released, you know, soon, or something.
Latest comment by: Imaginary Shrie: "yea most definitely going to be bad ass. yay for orange twin, those geniuses."
