All that Pixies hubbub must have inspired our heroine Kim Deal to get to work. There's a new Breeders album, titled Mountain Battles, set to release April 8, 2008.

NME is reporting that there will be NO new Pixies album. Kim Deal apparently sees no need for new recorded Pixies material, and Black Francis/Frank Black says that's that.
