Tonight in Seattle:

The Whore Moans

Monday morning check-in: Seaweed, Nightgowns, or BBQ with a Dinosaur?

the whore moans @ the crocodile 8.7.09

What a weekend of great music! There were multiple FREE KEXP events this weekend, shows all around town and the weather was nice and cool so we could wear our black t-shirts without frying.

Photographer Amelia Gydé caught the Redwood Plan's album release show at The Crocodile on Friday night. With a bill including Seaweed, The Redwood Plan and The Whore Moans, I'm guessing this picture (of The Whore Moans) caught one of the tamer moments of the evening?

I know some imaginary folks were at the Nightgowns / BOAT show at the Sunset on Friday... how was that? Photos please!

And then there were all the other things going around town... like free Dinosaur Jr.!

Grab your coffee and let's catch up!

Prepare to have your everything rocked every which way but with Clint Eastwood and an orangutan who plays the keytar.

Part of the Noise for the Needy benefit, this particular show features some of the coolest and noisiest bands in the Emerald City!

The show takes place Friday, 6/12 at the Underground Events Center at 2407 1st Ave (between Battery St & Wall St) in Belltown. It begins at 9PM, tickets are 10 US dollars, and it's 21 and up.

They had the crowd bouncing along, including the winos in front of the stage (which yes, I confused them for a band!)

Tonight's Recommended Show: The Lights, Thee Emergency, Kissing Potion, and The Whore Moans at the Comet

Well, tonight those NFTN folks have a couple other shows for us to choose from. Tonight you should head to the Comet for the Lights playing with more-Detroit-rock-than-bands-from-Detroit Thee Emergency. This evening calls for a pitchers of beer, good friends, and a designated driver.
