Tonight in Seattle:

The Saps

The Saps say hi

Due to their MySpace being hijacked, The Saps didn't respond when I queried them last month for inclusion of their mp3 in my Best of '07.  They've just regained control and written me back asking if it's too late, and since I hated to leave them out, here's the mp3 of the awesome track "Break My Spine" from the awesome album C'Mon Already — Start a Fire.

Thanks Saps!

(P.S. — Wait for it. The mp3 host I'm using seems slow today.)

igAsh's favorite songs of 2007, with {some} free downloads!

I made a 'Best of '07' compilation for coworkers and thought I'd share my picks with you, in no particular order. Hope you've got a little time to spare!

All downloads have been posted with permission from the bands themselves. Thanks bands!

2. Peter Bjorn and John: "Young Folks"

  • Traveled the farthest to get here: The Dark Beaks, who braved customs to send their CD Spill Your Heart all the way from Dunedin, New Zealand (!!). Thanks, fellas!

And this week in Northwest releases in the imaginary mailbins...
