I'm not sure what neat Windows(R) software created this video, but even with the program I couldn't have come up with a funnier indie-pop girl / husband sample conversation.
For the love of Morrissey!!! You'll never be English, get over it.
What should be the next video in this series? A barista to boyfriend exchange?

This is one of those ideas that makes one kind of cock their head like a really alert German Shepherd with both confusion and interest. A Morrisey-themed 2 day academic conference? Really? People submitted papers last year about different Morrissey related topics at last year's event! The mind boggles as to what they could have possibly contained.
Fans of the Mozzfather from all over the world decended like a swarm of morose, well-coiffed locusts upon the Irish city of Limerick last weekend for “The Songs That Saved Your Life – A Two Day Symposium on Morrissey.”
Check out Eoin Butler's blow-by-blow coverage of the event here. Hilarious!
Who would you attend a 2-day academic conference about?
My top 5:
1) Prince
2) Pulp / Jarvis Cocker
3) Tom Waits
4) David Bowie
5) Leonard Cohen

Latest comment by: imaginary stella: "I truly love this record. I have not heard so much gusto out of the Mozzer since Your Arsenal (and if I close my eyes, I see the Your Arsenal-days band playing on this album). Now let's get to the issue: Why is Morrissey skipping the US westcoast on his ...
So, what will he be called? Normally, when one gets knighted, you go by your first name, but wouldn't that seem odd?
Sir Stephen?
It would only be proper for him to be dubbed as only he could be:
Sir Morrissey.
Yes, indeed, I am advocating that the patron saint of modern rock be knighted by the same woman that he and his bandmates once declared dead.
Is there any other citizen of Great Britain that has been more culturally influential and significant over the last quarter century than Morrissey? No*. No one has had the same lasting legacy while still staging comeback after comeback (does that, then, count as "coming back"?) than the king of mope.

I wish I could explain why I like this so much, but words fail me.
Latest comment by: Shane: "I have a sneaking suspicion the site was made by the guy who writes/draws Toothpaste For Dinner, which is a brilliantly hilarious series of little comics. the MOZ-GIFs are punching in different intervals and it's making me dizzy....."
When I read the headline about a musical made from the music of Morrissey and the Smiths on NME this morning I was excited. "Oh boy, won't that be fun!" I thought. Much more fun than the musical I saw posters for all over Europe: We Will Rock You, a musical based on the songs of Queen. Not that there is anything wrong with Queen, but being who I am, with my mancrush on Moz and all, the Smith-related musical is too good to be true.
Then, it got better.
Who, you ask, wants to write this musical?
(Wait for it).
None other than Thomas Lennon and Ben Garrant - formerly of MTV's The State (currently of Reno! 911, Wet Hot American Summer, etc.) Now, I don't even know what to say other than "gasp!"

...with the only provision being the Johnny Marr had to be present. Well, duh. It's not the Smiths without Johnny Marr.
Latest comment by: stella: "I don't know that this would be due to any feud -- that Moz/Marr 'severed aliance' has been pretty well buried over the years, as I understand it. But my hunch is Moz turned this down as he's gone on record in the past by saying that those Smiths songs were of a ...
For all of us who missed Moz when he was at the Paramount Theater a while back (ether because we aren't good planners or too cheap for the pricey tickets), we can see a mini-performance on David Letterman tonight! Other notable things? Hmm...
