Did you pick up your copy of the Imaginary Zine at the big Rockstar New Wave Karaoke Bash at Chop Suey on Friday, June 1st?
If you don't have a copy of the zine yet (or you want to buy another!), you can order online or purchase at any upcoming Three Imaginary Girls event in the near future (next one: the 10th Anniversary Ice Cream Social at Bluebird Microcreamery in Capitol Hill on July 12!). The zine is limited run of 333 copies (the back cover does not lie), so buy yours soon!
The Imaginary Zine is a 60-page old school printed zine recounting our first 10 years with some of our favorite blog posts and stories from our imaginary friends. It also includes a cd chock full of rare, live, or exclusive songs by some of our favorite local artists (full list below)!
The most amazing part? It's only $4 (+ USPS postage)
Want a sneak peak of some of the radness inside the hand-crafted zine?
This month's imaginary mixtape features a slew of Seattle finest who are taking to the clubs {and some even reuniting!} during the next few weeks, but kicks off with a perfect summertime song by a band that we wish was coming to town.
You can listen to a stream or download the MP3 version of the podcast on the imaginary bandcamp page.
If you are the type that likes to listen to podcasts in itunes, download the .m4a here {with fancy chapters even!} and then open it in your itunes {Thanks to Jigsaw Records for hosting it!}.
Tracklisting: Imaginary Mixtape - July 2010:

Join us Sunday, June 27 from 1p-3p at Neptune Coffee for the second edition of our Imaginary Crafty Listening Party! Last month we had a glorious time making new crafty friends and debuting the new Math & Physics Club album. This time around, we'll fill the air with the likes of two album we think should be on your must-have summer playlist:
Carissa's Wierd - They’ll Only Miss You When You Leave: Songs 1996-2003
This retrospective reminds us why Carissa's Wierd should be counted as one of the most important bands to come out of Seattle. They perfected elegant sadness and inspired the beard-core movement that has penetrated today's music charts.
The album releases July 13, 2010 on Hardly Art and they will knock our socks off at the Showbox at the Market on July 9. Listen to "Die" on repeat.
Tomorrow night (Saturday, December 27th) is the night of the BIG Three Imaginary Girls Winter Holiday Spectacular at Chop Suey and we'd love to have you there to celebrate all those December holidays and raise funds for a great local charity (Soild Ground).

There are several ways to mark the 14th of February holiday tomorrow. Whether you're celebrating coupledom or on the prowl, there's nice, naughty, and all-ages type fun for everyone.
We gathered our imaginary staff to determine our collective Northwest favorites for 2007. It was hard work. Imaginary battles were fought, alliances formed, and finally, winners emerged.
You should have seen the way that imaginary Liz can arm wrestle, and how Erik Gonzalez can duke it out for his favorite bands. It was fierce and fun, and we think our final list was well worth the effort.
Latest comment by: imaginary dana: "Oh! I just got all teary taking it down. Sigh. Thanks for the reminder, randy. Now I'd love to hear what you have to say about our list. :)"
Narrowing down my favorites for this year was HARD! I’m sure I’ll find even more 2007 releases I adore in 2008... but here’s what has been in obsessively high rotation this year.
Note: I still battle with how I can rank EPs versus full albums, or collections of previously unreleased material… but using my current logrhythm, here’s what it came out to today...
Latest comment by: michael: "I combined both Los Campesinos! EPs that came out this year as counting as one album. Yeah, it's cheating a little but meh."
Rob Femur, frontman of the appropriately-named Femurs and host of 107.7 The End's punk radio show "Gabba Gabba Hey," will now also be teaching a history of punk course at Seattle Central Community College this fall.
Latest comment by: ChrisB: "I might take the class, too. We should totally cheat off each other, Kiku - it is very punk rock!"
Latest comment by: Megg Miavo: "i'm a huge fan of the Femurs, they are quite refreshing... "
