When the new TIG layout was created, a special category was created called "crushes," which I assume means that I'm supposed to use it to post new Lily Allen videos when they become available.
This video is for the song "22", one of the catchier, moralizing songs from her fantastic album It's Not Me, It's You (the other one is "Everyone's At It"). One of the things I really love about Allen is that when she delivers a moralistic message, it's given out empathy not condescension.
Here's she singing about a scenster who spends her life out at clubs while life is passing her by ("she's got an alright job, but it's not a career") and in this video, Allen plays that character herself. You can watch it after the jump.

Some wildly clever people found a way to make a video to Lily Allen's super-catchy song "Fuck You" that can air on television. It's really a cute and fun video, so I had to post it.
Lily Allen plays at the Showbox Sodo with Natalie Portman's Shaved Head tonight.
It's Not Me, It's You is going to be released next Tuesday - and, as a reminder, Easy Street Records is open until midnight on Mondays.
know we just got done with the 2008 lists, but this one's clamoring for my top compilation spot for '09 already!
Lily Allen's second record, It's Not You, It's Me, is scheduled for release on February 10, 2009 on Capitol Records.
Latest comment by: ChrisB: "That's very possible Sean and I definitely thought about that. I hope it is the case but couldn't find anything online to confirm it one way or the other."
Will any anti-Bush songs have a shelf-life beyond January 20?
Latest comment by: imaginary liz: "This is a great song that I'm sure I'll be listening to into the the 2010s. Another timeless anti-Bush song is "When the President Talks to God" by an artist *I* never miss up an opportunity to rave about. I think it will always serve as a warning and reminder ...
I just found news of a recent Lily Allen MySpace blog post that has me saying BRAVO Lily -- for both her wise admission of being embarrassed about her inebriated state at the recent Glamour Awards and beautiful pink hair-do.
Latest comment by: tAy.: "nahh its a deer with a cut off head with blood coming out"
With MySpace friends like that, who needs MySpace enemies?
