When the Crocodile first shuttered its doors in December of 2007, we felt like we'd lost a friend. Many moments of imaginary fun happened within those walls, and we missed it very much. That's why we're very excited to host Top of the Croc: An Imaginary Pop Celebration for the Re-Opening of the Crocodile!

"We're completely honored and excited to be presenting this show! Three Imaginary Girls was born at the Crocodile. We couldn't be more thrilled to celebrate it reopening -- especially with such a poptastic lineup!" said Three Imaginary Girls co-founder imaginary Dana.

We've lined up what we think are some of the best pop bands in Seattle for a night of serious imaginary fun on Saturday, April 4th 2009 , with Seattle pop notables "Awesome", Tullycraft, BOAT, and newcomers iji.

"I can't wait to share iji, who are kicking the night off! They are my favorite new band right now. They mix indie-pop hooks, DIY lo-fi, and coy disarming vocals -- with horns, organ, and sometimes an autoharp" said Three Imaginary Girls co-founder imaginary Liz.

Not only will there be pop music, but we've also got sponsors Top Pot Doughnuts providing commemorative Crocodile doughnuts and VAIN hair salon providing Crocodile-themed quickie updos.

"As a newcomer to Seattle, I'm so excited to be able to experience such a vital part of this city's music scene with Three Imaginary Girls, and now with the reopening of the Crocodile. Honestly, it's so humbling to be able to have anything to do with the next stage of the Crocodile's presence, especially since it's my first exposure to it," said Three Imaginary Girls photographer (and recent Seattle transplant) imaginary Victoria.

"The Crocodile is a national landmark, or at least it should be. I gotta say it's been a really difficult year without having it around - it's like there's been a cloud hanging over the city as we followed the club's revival back to the world of the indie-living" said imaginary Liz.

It's Ho Ho Holiday time and that means it's time for the joyous Three Imaginary Girls Holiday Party!

Join us for the TIG Winter Holiday Spectacular at Chop Suey on Saturday, December 27th. The night will be packed with fun big enough to help you forget about any holiday drama and celebrate all those December holidays (including but not limited to imaginary Liz's birthday).

This year the Winter Holiday Spectacular will feature performances from six of our favorite Seattle bands:

You can also have a keepsake of the spectacularly good times for your mantel! Indie Rock Santa John Roderick (of The Long Winters) will have his lap available so you can pose with him to have your picture taken by the lovely and talented Laura Musselman for free. Also on tap, we'll have the legendary Jim Anderson (from the Crocodile) manning the soundboard for the night.

The best part of the evening is that all proceeds will benefit Soild Ground, an organization that builds community to end poverty. Each year they give 33,000 families each year the services, resources and support they need to overcome homelessness, hunger and despair. They also mobilize people to create public and private policies that are responsive to the needs of low-income people.

It's our end of the year blow-out so there will be no-holds-barred on what the evening will have in store.

Hey Marseilles create lush soundscapes that mash folky indie pop with your favorite orchestra instruments (including cello, trumpet, and accordion to name a few).

M. Bison
This quartet's songs mix of showtuney Ben Folds Five keyboards with singalong vocals (that every once in a while have a distinct Squeeze feel) and poppy guitar jabs.

Star Lake Drownings
Formerly known as Stella by Starlight, SLD infuses shoegazer into our favorite parts of the Rentals and early Belly.

The Femurs
It makes sense that we'd spend the holidays with the first band that Dana and Liz ever interviewed together. We love Rob Femur and his Ramones-infused indie-folk that brings to mind both early Violent Femmes with Beach Boys harmonies.

The Mangles
We are so excited to celebrate the night with The Mangles. They will start the night off with a fun bang as they cover The Bangles and perhaps even sneak Liz's favorite theme song into the mix.

Exile in {Imaginary} Girlville

THREE IMAGINARY GIRLS TO HOST "EXILE IN {IMAGINARY} GIRLVILLE," AN EXILE IN GUYVILLE TRIBUTE NIGHT

June 3, 2008, Seattle, WA: It's true that we stole your lighter. And it's also true that we lost the map. That's why Three Imaginary Girls will proudly present the songs of Liz Phair's triumphant debut record "Exile in Guyville" as interpreted by some of the best up-and- coming bands in the Northwest. The event is called "Exile in {Imaginary} Girlville" and is co- sponsored by Easy Street Records, Seattle Sound Magazine, and 90.3 KEXP.

Exile in {Imaginary} Girlville takes place on Wednesday night June 25, 2008 at Chop Suey and features Throw Me the Statue, Team Gina, Star Anna, Tennis Pro, Lucy Bland, M. Bison, Tea Cozies, as well as special performances by Rachel Flotard of Visqueen and Lesli Wood of Ms. Led. The bands will perform the songs on the record in order, from "6'1"" to "Strange Loop" and everything in-between.

The event marks the 15th anniversary of the release of "Exile in Guyville" and ATO Records' re-release of the album with additional demo tracks, as well as finally releasing a vinyl version of the record. Which is certainly cause for celebration.

Speaking of celebration, the night also commemorates the sixth anniversary of Three Imaginary Girls.

"'Exile in Guyville' was such a pivotal record for me that it seems fitting to revel the start of Three Imaginary Girls to that soundtrack as performed by our favorite local bands," said Dana Bos, co-founder of Three Imaginary Girls.

Three Imaginary Girls anticipates another year of incredible live music and record reviews, as well as some new exciting changes. The website has some new looks and colors coming very soon as well as other big fun updates planned for the coming year.

But for now, the excitement is focused on June 25.

"Sure, Liz Phair just announced that she'll be performing 'Exile in Guyville' on the same name, in New York" said Liz Riley, co-founder of Three Imaginary Girls. "But I'd rather hear Rachel Flotard sing "Fuck and Run" than Liz Phair herself.

Join us as we say goodbye to one of the Kirkland Teen Union Building's best interns, Katie Nguyen, who will be graduating this year and going off to live the college life!

Ms. Nguyen has been booking fantastic shows at KTUB for seven months, and is even hosting the increasingly popular Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground on May 17. Incidentally, she is also Imaginary Kiku's dear, dear friend, and an all around incredible person. In June, she'll be moving off to college and ending her booking internship, and as a celebration she's hosting a fantastic final show.

Friday, May 23, say goodbye to Katie and enjoy the musical stylings of TIG darlings BOAT and Young Sportsmen, as well as Mighty Giant and the Prawns, up-and-coming talents from the Eastside.

I know it takes quite a bit for Seattle folks to make their way up to the Eastside, but trust me, we're really pretty nice. KTUB is a great organization promoting all-ages in Kirkland and all throughout the greater Seattle area, and it will miss its lovely booking intern dearly. Come out and enjoy the show, see some great bands, and wish good luck to Katie, who will be bursting onto the Seattle music scene soon!

TIG Presents: Dancing on the Valentine

TIG is honored to help present a very special benefit show. It's called Dancing on the Valentine and it's a Leukemia benefit featuring loads of great Seattle bands, including CENTRAL SERVICES, C'MON C'MON, THE FEMURS, THE HOTELS, BRE LOUGHLIN, MS. LED, PETER PARKER, RICHARD MOUNTAIN (MEMBERS OF THE COPS) and DJ DANGER NUN.

The show is presented by (and in honor of) our good pal Jenny George, who was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 12 and was not expected to live more than 30 days. Luckily, Jenny proved the prognosis wrong, and we're grateful for Jenny's presence in our lives every day.

DANCING ON THE VALENTINE began in 2004 as a way to celebrate Jenny's 30th birthday while supporting a cause important to her and those who love her. The first two benefit shows have each raised over $3,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society... and have been a great celebration to boot!

We know this year's benefit will be the best one ever, with a stellar lineup of local bands playing a flashback-to-high-school Valentine's Day dance circa 1985! Bring your valentine to Nectar Lounge this year, or come stag and find your next sweetheart at the show.

Three Imaginary Girls, "Seattle's sparkly indie- pop press," will host a Holiday Karaoke Bash on Friday, December 8, 2006 at The Crocodile, to welcome in the holiday season with their favorite local rockstars singing karaoke. The night will kick-off with a Sub Pop and Barsuk Records-supported pre-party with acoustic sets from members of Sub Pop artists Fruit Bats and Tiny Vipers, and a very special performance from Barsuk Records' Jim Noir.

The night will feature rockstar performances by local musicians and celebrities. Members of Math & Physics Club, Iceage Cobra, Head Like a Kite, Schoolyard Heroes, Speaker Speaker, Kane Hodder, Optimus Rhyme, the Pale Pacific, the Elephants, We Wrote the Book on Connectors, The Trucks, A Gun That Shoots Knives, Central Services, The Pharmacy, Tullycraft, Night Canopy, Dita Vox, Shorthand for Epic, several KEXP DJs, and many more special guests are prepared to take the stage to croon for our mutual holiday enjoyment.

Of course -- in imaginary style -- you won't need mistletoe to get lucky. The event will feature the amazing John Roderick of the Long Winters as Indie Rock Santa Claus, to ensure you get your holiday wish-list heard by Mr. North Pole himself.

"How often does one get the chance to have her picture taken while sitting on John Roderick's lap?" asked imaginary girl Liz. "That's reason enough to attend!"

"This is the best holiday gift ever – a pre-party with Sub Pop and Barsuk, followed by an off-the-hook karaoke bash!" said imaginary girl Dana. "It's a Christmas miracle!"

"I guess we've been very, very good imaginary girls this year," said imaginary girl Char.

Steve the Karaoke King (of Twilight Exit, Molly McGuires, and the Comet Tavern) will serve as KJ for the big event, which means the song selection and the sound system will both be incredible. Need further incentive? Imaginary karaoke parties always tend to attract surprise guests (including Vendetta Red's Zach Davidson and the Posies' Jon Auer at past events), and the girls will have girls will have raffle prizes galore from favorite folks like Merge Records, K Records, and Pattern 25 Records to bulk up your end-of-year CD collection. Three Imaginary Girls are no strangers to the Seattle rock scene. During the past four years, the girls have reviewed hundreds of live shows and CDs in Seattle and beyond. Hey! What are you doing on Saturday night, March 4th? We highly suggest you head to the High Dive for the debut Audioasis Live Remote Broadcast, co-presented by Three Imaginary Girls and featuring four stellar local bands. Plus raffle prizes! Here's the full scoop...

The first Saturday of every month in 2006, eclectic music station KEXP (90.3FM and KEXP.ORG) will broadcast its local music program Audioasis (Saturdays 6-9pm) from the High Dive in Seattle. All door proceeds will benefit a different local charity each month. This is a community initiative to create meaningful connections between KEXP listeners and deserving local charities. KEXP hopes to increase awareness of the mission and work of various local organizations and the impact they have on the larger community. KEXP will provide each charity a variety of ways to increase their visibility. Sounds great to us!

For March, the benefit will be for Seattle Works, the show will be co-presented by Three Imaginary Girls (woot! woot!), and we hear that DJs John Richards, Abe Beeson, and Sean Nelson will all be present. Be there for the first one!

Seattle, WA, January 20, 2006 — "We're Absolutely Cuckoo" for The Magnetic Fields. That's why Three Imaginary Girls has decided to celebrate Valentine's Day this year with a 69 Love Songs Pre-Valentine's Day Bash, co-sponsored by the mighty 90.3 KEXP and the amazing Barsuk Records.

The event will take place at the Crocodile Café on Thursday night, February 9th, and will feature collaborations from tons of Northwest musicians performing their favorite tracks from the 1999 Magnetic Field's 3-disc opus, 69 Love Songs.

The long list of performers includes members of The Long Winters, Vendetta Red, Rocky Votolato, Visqueen, Tullycraft, Harvey Danger, Kane Hodder, and many more. In honor of Valentine's Day, the night will feature three great performance of love — of both the romantic and fraternal nature:

Lovebirds Eric Corson (The Long Winters) and Anna Lange (Dutch Elms) will debut their lo-fi side project, Fork and Spoon.
Newlyweds Andrew Moore (Kane Hodder) and Alissabeth Newton (ex-The Catch) will perform as their aptly named band, For Better Or For Awesome.
Rock and roll brothers Rocky Votolato (formerly of Waxwing) and Sonny Votolato (Slender Means) will dazzle the crowd with their amazingly talented genes.

"Since Stephin Merritt rarely tours, we figured the next best thing would be to have a bunch of our favorite bands cover the songs. I am giddy with anticipation," said Liz Riley, co-founder of Three Imaginary Girls.

Three Imaginary Girls will also run a "Tell Us Your 69 Love Songs Love Story" themed-contest. Readers can submit their stories of how 69 Love Songs impacted their love lives, and the best submission will receive a pair of free tickets to the show. The imaginary girls will read the best stories between sets throughout the night.

"The crazy thing about 69 Love Songs is that no matter where you are romantically, it's fitting," Dana Bos, also a co-founder. "You can rejoice, court, break-up, kiss, wed, laugh, fight, or drink with that album."

"I can't wait to hear who sings 'Underwear,'" said imaginary girl Char. "I hope he changes the lyrics to 'A pretty imaginary girl, in her underwear.'"

Back? Good. Can you believe how many great records were released in the Northwest in 2005? It was such a great year for music that we couldn't just leave the results online. In typical imaginary fashion, we decided to celebrate by hosting a Best of 2005 Winners' Showcase, featuring some of the winners: Daylight Basement, The Pale Pacific, Stars of Track and Field, and The Elephants.

The event will be held at Neumos on Friday, January 20, 2005, and is co-sponsored by the amazing Sonic Boom Records and 90.3 KEXP.

Headliners Daylight Basement barely made the 2005 deadline, bursting on the scene in early December 2005 with their stunning electro-pop debut, Any Kind of Pretty to rank #13 in the readers' poll, and #2 in the overall imaginary staff picks. The Pale Pacific had two releases in 2005 — the Rules are Predictable EP and their full-length, Urgency — the latter of which secured them #19 in the imaginary readers' poll, and also demonstrated their ability to grow beyond simple (great) pop songs to write deep, swirling indie-rock near-manifestos. Portland's Stars of Track and Field raced up our charts with their debut EP You Came Here For Sunset Last Year, claiming the #5 spot with their fuzzy pop electro-gazer charms. And lastly, Tacoma trio The Elephants are here to break your hearts with their disarming, catchy-yet-irreverant melodies on their debut self-titled LP (#28 in the reader's poll).

"I like that all the bands share an I-5 heritage. We've got Portland, Tacoma, Seattle, and Bellingham all represented," noted igLiz.

Sharing the Night Together: a 70's AM Cover Nite

{The 70's Gold Soft Rock Cover Nite is this Thursday, 10.13.05 at the Sunset, and features members of Math and Physics Club, Dear John Letters, Argo, Central Services, The Withholders, Crown Aruba, Braden Blake, and igDana too.}

Long-time readers of TIG know that I've made no secret about my early love of Journey. But what I perhaps haven't shared is another deep, dark secret of my musical past. I love 70's soft rock. Not disco. Not prog rock. I mean soft, sweet, FM radio classics: Bread, The Carpenters, Rod Stewart, Dr. Hook, Captain and Tennile. And I love it without any sense of irony.

So when our dear friends Valbert and Aubrey Smart of The Withholders approached me (drunk, at my karaoke birthday party) and asked if I would form a band for a 70's AM Gold Soft Rock Cover Nite, I was pumped!! High on vodka and my karaoke prowess, I had no fears about fronting a band.

To this end, I've formed a little cover band full of people way more talented than I am: Saundrah Humphrey (Math and Physics Club) on violin, Jaime Clapper (ex-Jeunes) on bass, and David Bos (ex-Jeunes, Daylight Basement) on guitar, Heather Henricks for her first ever live performance on drums, and um, me on vocals. We call ourselves The Afternoon Delights, and we're gonna open the night for tons of other great local bands paying homage to the softest of the rock songs. The roster includes members of Math and Physics Club, Dear John Letters, Central Services, Argo, The Withholders, Crown Aruba, Braden Blake, and more! Plus there's going to be soft rock trivia contests and prizes, and I'm hoping the nice bartenders at the Sunset learn to make Harvey Wallbangers for the occasion.

Please come. Come because this is likely the first and only time I will ever front a band and I am excited. And by excited I mean, terrified. Speaking of terrifying things, we will be wearing some fabulously authentic and awful 70s fashions, thanks to the ever awesome Anna Banana and Pretty Parlor.

If I seem to come on too strong, I hope that you will understand. I say these things 'cause I'd like to know If you're as lonely as I am... and if you mind... Sharing the night together. Oh yeah. Sharing the night together.

Seattle, WA, June 14, 2004 — ThreeImaginaryGirls.com, "Seattle's sparkly indie-pop press," will be co-sponsoring an all-ages Ladyfest Showcase on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at Graceland.

The night will feature a stellar lineup of some of the finest female Northwest artists, including The Catch, Ms. Led, Scream Club, Schoolyard Heroes, Smoosh, and Mon Frere, and will also feature DJs Les Saucettes spinning 1960s French-pop between the bands' sets.

Opening band Mon Frere impressed the imaginary girls when they won the finals of EMP's Sound Off competition 2004, a yearly contest for all-ages bands in the Northwest. The trio features clangy keyboards and raw, piercing lead vocals from front-woman Nouela Johnston.

Also on the not-to-be-missed list are Smoosh, featuring sisters Asy and Chloe, whose indie-pop keyboard/drums songs display musical prowess well beyond their years (they're 12 and 10, respectively). The duo has opened for Death Cab for Cutie and Sleater Kinney, and has their first full-length release coming later this year on local label Pattern 25.

"Smoosh write and play really good songs. They craft catchy-cute melodies with sophisticated timing changes, sweet vocals, and incredible song-writing — and they're so damn cute!" said imaginary girl Dana. "We fully expect they'll be superstars one day."

The bill also features the aggressively punk-pop Schoolyard Heroes, the audacious mohawked rap-rock babe duo Scream Club, the infectious melodies of post-punk feminist-rockergirls Ms. Led, and the foxy sass-mouthed new-wave pop hooks of headliners, The Catch.

"We can't wait to see Scream Club live, with that so-scary-it's-foxy matching makeup and mullet aesthetic they've got going on," said imaginary girl Char. "Any band that garners undying praise from Time Out, Yeti, Venus, Bust, Bitch, and Yoko Ono in one press page has to be stellar."

"And The Catch — they're the styliest girls in town. I can't wait to see what color leg-warmers and pumps they've got on, or to hear all the great material from their forthcoming release this summer. Plus you get to hear Schoolyard Heroes and Ms. Led, all on the same bill? I can't believe we get to sponsor this all in one night. It's too good," exclaimed imaginary girl Liz.

Three Imaginary Girls are no strangers to the Seattle rock scene. During the past two years, the girls have reviewed hundreds of live shows and CDs in Seattle and beyond. They also book local music showcases, and have hosted various rockstar karaoke events, such as their Labor Day buttrock karaoke party, their Silly Love Songs Friday the 13th Pre-Valentine's Day Bash, and an indie-rock holiday party that raised hundreds of dollars for local charity, TreehouseForKids.org.

ABOUT LADYFEST SEATTLE
Ladyfest Seattle is part of a global tradition of all-volunteer, non-profit organizations raising awareness of women's issues through artistic pursuits. The original Ladyfest was held in Olympia, WA in 2000 and generated over $30,000 for women's charities. This year, Ladyfest Seattle will donate all proceeds to the local women's health center Aradia and Amnesty International. Voter registration will be available at all events, the quota of male to female artists in an act has been abolished, and half of the events will be all-ages.

No Vote Left Behind: TIG says: We're Ready for Regime Change Too!

We here at Three Imaginary Girls heart grassroots organizations. We, ourselves, have our roots in grass. Wait a minute, that didn't sound right...

What we're trying to say here is, we support creative endeavors borne out of the desire to make the world a better place. So when local political organization No Vote Left Behind asked us to attend their kickoff party — which featured performances by local musicians The Divorce, Jon Auer, and The Minus Five {AND an open bar!} — it was pretty much a no-brainer for us.

To express it mathematically:

Indie Rock + Absolut Mandrin - need for cash + get rid of Dubya + Three Happy Imaginary Girls == YAY No Vote Left Behind!!!

No Vote Left Behind is the brainchild of Crocodile Cafe employee Natasha George. As legend {and their website} have it, instead of wallowing in her political despair over the thought of a second Bush administration, Natasha decided to do something about it. Her solution? Why not plan a rock show, and send the proceeds to the Democratic National Committee?

A rock and roll to save the day? We love it!

The idea has blossomed into a multi-day festival that will take place September 23rd - 26th, and has enlisted the help of many folks involved in the Seattle music scene and beyond. Musician Mark Arm (Mudhoney), publicist Barbara Mitchell, attorney Jake London, professor Jacquelyn Miller, accountant Denise Maupin, streaming media guru Steve Mack, web implementer Jason Dennie, and designer Christi Willard are all part of the NVLB team.

Plus, they just might be getting a little help from their imaginary friends, 'cause we think they rock.

Speaking of rocking, they had the Divorce open the night. I swear those Divorce boys get hotter every time I see them... and it's been awhile since we've seen them out, so they were smoldering!!!

I still have the Divorce's 2003 release There Will Be Blood Tonight as a fixture in my disc changer. Tonight's show featured all new songs, and I am now counting down to the release of their next album... even though it isn't even recorded yet.

Since the release of their first album, they've added a lead guitarist to the line up. He is amazing {!} and, in no small part to his membership in the band, the new songs are more intricate and evolved while remaining smart and catchy. They were already top notch, but now {dare I say} they are topper notchier!

That AND new haircuts on the Divorce! Be still my heart.

The event drew quite the Seattle indie-rock elite to the Crocodile. And can I just ask... am I the only person who can't get over seeing Peter Buck just hanging out in the crowd? I want to be cool about it, but I just can't.

You and me both.

But, I think we ARE cool about it.. well, in that we stand really still and lock our heads in the opposite direction from where he's standing when he's in the room so there's no way we can make direct eye contact with him. And no matter what statement I am in the middle of exclaiming, I start spouting, "Um... um... yea... so... that, you know."

I think this is an odd universal hipster instinct kicking in that prevents all of us from running over and asking him how he's doing and what his favorite local sushi restaurant is.

The fact that we, and the rest of respectable hipster Seattle, are able to control ourselves and NOT bombard the coolest person in town with our trivial inquiries is somewhat astounding.

But, actually, I don't know if it really works to his advantage. Like the pretty girl who doesn't get asked out on a date because every guy thinks she'll reject him, I think Pete Buck might be slightly bored at all these public events because we're all too intimidated to acknowledge his presence.

I would like to be his friend. I swear I would NEVER say, "Hey Pete! I believe in Coyotes AND time is an abstract!"

Yea, me neither! I have plenty of conversation topics that do not include statements like "You are so amazing!!! Tell me about that time REM performed under the name 'Bingo Hand Job' at the Borderline in London! And what was it like to perform "Picture Book" with Ray Davies?"

OK girls, enough with the REM super-fanning!

Seattle, WA, May 13, 2004 — You've seen William Hung sing 'She Bangs' and George W. Bush sing 'Gay Bar.' But have you seen Sean Nelson sing 'Like a Virgin?'

You could.

ThreeImaginaryGirls.com, "Seattle's sparkly indie-pop press," will be hosting a Rockstar Suicide Karaoke Silent Auction Bash on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at the Crocodile Café to celebrate their second anniversary.

The night will feature rockstar performances by local artists and celebrities, including members of Harvey Danger, the Catch, Kuma, the Spits, Kane Hodder, Fey Ray, XXX Audio, Radio Nationals, the Fastbacks, American School of Warsaw, Black Nite Crash, the Malinks, Jet City Fix, Slomo Rabbit Kick, and Tennis Pro, as well as KEXP DJs Quilty 3000 & Darek Mazzone, photographer Charles Peterson, Joan Hiller of Sub Pop Records, Chris Olsen from NoVoteLeftBehind.net, Carla DeSantis from ROCKRGRL magazine, and Pete Hilgendorf & Ben Heege of Blue Disguise Records.

The trick to suicide karaoke? The rockstars can't practice their songs beforehand. It's up to show-goers to decide what songs each rockstar performs via a silent auction. Once the auction ends, each rockstar takes the stage, and performs whatever song was chosen by the bidder. Auction winners will also receive gifts from the karaokers, such as signed CDs, posters, t-shirts, and other merchandise.

"Anyone who attends can bid on the song each rockstar will sing. Last year, the Pale ended up singing 'Roxanne' (The Police). I think it's one of the best things I've ever heard," sighed imaginary girl Liz.

"And hearing Erik Blood from the Turn Ons sing Journey's 'Open Arms' was a very close second," added imaginary girl Char.

KJ extraordinaire Biff Moss will host the event, and promises even more excitement. Biff is an experienced auctioneer, so expect live auctions. And best of all, his system has the capability to plug in electric guitars. Yes. The rockstars will be able to bring their own guitars (or guitarists) to fake along with their karaoke performances. Experts predict karaoke will reach such great heights.

As if you needed further incentive, the Imaginary Karaoke parties always tend to attract surprise guests, including Vendetta Red's Zach Davidson and the Posies' Jon Auer (both of whom unexpectedly took the stage at their Buttrock Karaoke contest last summer).

"I'd highly suggest getting there early to get a spot in the karaoke rotation," said imaginary girl Dana. "How often do we all have the chance to sing onstage and through the amazing sound-system at the Crocodile? Everyone sounds amazing. Well, almost everyone does…"
