Tonight in Seattle:

TONIGHT! The Ruby Doe/Shorthand For Epic/Ms. Led, at the High Dive

As we blogged about a few days back, local punk-pop band Shorthand for Epic is breaking up — or at least shaking up — their lineup. The band made an announcement earlier in the week that the show tonight would be the last for its current lineup, with their bass player and drummer both (most amicably) parting ways with the group.

Tonight will also celebrate SFE drummer Stormi King’s birthday… and as a special bonus, Ms. Led will be recording a video for their song “New Agenda” as well.

And did we mention that the entire show is FREE??? Yes, all that fun, and you can save your money to pick up the tab. Help Shorthand for Epic celebrate the end of an era, and get that good lookin’ face of yours documented on YouTube with the hot ladies (and gent) of Ms. Led (have you seen their hairstyles lately?? FOXY!).

Ms Led

omg I am so tired of seeing that ugly ass LE LOUP ad in the upper left. Cant you add some variety to your banner positions GEEZ

I'm so sad inside

I know -- I had a (fabulous) wedding to attend last night, so I couldn't make this show. I'd sure love to hear from someone who did!

The show at the High Dive was fierce! Ms. Led came out swinging and looked pretty damn hot too! The energy the band gave was incredible, and it was matched by a very enthusiastic crowd. They played a nice mix of old and new favorites (Stigma, Move Slowly, New Agenda - of course, and Waiting is Overrated, among others) and rocked them as hard as ever. Can't wait to see the video!
It was my first time (and apparently last with this line up) seeing SFE, and the show definitely lived up to my expectations. I confess to not knowing a ton about them, but I really liked what I heard on Saturday. Sad to hear about the shake up in the line up because damn - there's some talent right there - but clearly this band will rise from the ashes as hot, and *cool* as ever. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for their return!
I missed The Ruby Doe set... :(
