Results from a study held by Liverpool John Moores University, revealed today what pretty much everyone already knew: Rockstars live shorter lives than non rockstars. In fact, their statistics showed that rockstars "are more than twice as likely to die a premature death as ordinary citizens of the same age... The average age of death was 42 for North American stars and 35 for European stars."

Hear that, Paul McCartney? You're 30 years behind schedule! Get to dying already.

That is such an awful study. So they've taken a list of supposed "all time top 1000 albums", and averaged the age of the 100 out of 1,064 that had died? Does that mean they have ignored the remaining 964 that might have exceeded their average age? It would have been so much more interesting if they had study changing trends in rock star deaths, because looking around at the current roster, I only see a couple who may bow out young.
When the Rolling Stones die, that average age is going to get pushed atleast into the 60's.
