Tonight in Seattle:

Little Name, your next favorite band.

Little NameDo you like the beautiful, airy orchestration of Camera Obscura and Belle and Sebastian, the coyness of the Concretes and the dry Bacharach overtones of Gruff Rhys?

It's time for you to meet the Liverpool one-man-band, Little Name and the debut album How to Swim and Live (to be released on Oct 16, 2008 on Sleepy Records).

Here's a couple songs for you to download, listen, repeat:

“Tracy & I” (MP3)

“How to Swim and Live” (MP3)

Rumor has it that Saundrah (MaPC) and Chris (indiepages) have been loving this band for at least a month. Join the Sarah Records-esque peace train!

FensePost has been loving it for about a month too!

And Lee is the sweetest guy..... :) I'm glad you are giving them a shout out Liz! I got you so pegged on what you like..;)

Something is alluring about that cover art. That by itself makes me want to check out the music.

Delightful.

Me likey! And today I just want to jump into that pool...

Gosh, a home town band I've not heard of? I shall have to investigate.

I ordered this CD because I was excited about the fantastic 1960s John Hinde Butlins postcard photo used for the cover. I'm a nerd. (oh, and the music's good too!).
