So far pretty OK: New Rogue Wave track
Submitted by imaginary stella on August 14, 2007.The first track off Rogue Wave's forthcoming album is available to preview at Spin Mag's site.
"Lake Michigan" contains most of the familiar element of RW's style, though something a bit funky is going on with Zach's vocals (I think just a lot of vocal track layers). The handclaps, waltzy tempos, and quirky guitar parts are all there though... Jack Johnson hasn't changed them too much.

i'm listening to the new album right now, and coming from a huge rogue wave fan, it feels like a pretty big departure. we all knew it was coming, with more players involved it just sounds too busy, but that's just my first impression. take it for nothing more than that.

I really hate sneak peaks. I'd much rather just listen to the album in it's completion :\

Out of the Shadow totally blew my mind and this album just seems kind of boring so far, maybe age has made them less weird. But hopefully it will grow on me and I'll love it as much as anything they've done...

I don't know about this track. I find it to be a bit on the boring side. The jury is still out on their new album.
