Basement Jaxx and... Yoko Ono?
Submitted by imaginary char on July 19, 2007.The band is currently penning tracks for the follow-up to 2006's Crazy Itch Radio.
Member Felix Buxton said of the new collaboration: "We ended up doing a couple of things, once I started listening to her stuff. I think she was miles ahead. She should be on the new album. I mean, we haven't finished any tracks at the moment, but we are working on her things."
The duo also revealed that they are keen to get Grace Jones on the new album, but so far have found her elusive.
Buxton said: "We have been trying to work with her for years, but she keeps disappearing; her manager said she was up for it before."
He also mentioned that he wanted the album to be a double release. "One album will be soundscapes, the other one will be pure tracks," he said.
They hope to release the album in spring of 2008, reports BBC 6 Music.

You know, I didn't think I was a big Yoko Fan..
But, there is definitly moments of brilliance on this years "Yes, I'm a Witch" and she certainly has a knack for picking awesome people to collaborate with:
Peaches
Le Tigre
Cat Power
Apples In Stereo
Antony (w/o The Johnsons)
The Flaming Lips
So, I guess I am not that shoked by this...
