Tonight in Seattle:

White Stripes play one note show

This just in from NME:

The White Stripes wrapped up their quirky Canadian tour yesterday (July 16) with a single note in St. John's.

Following shows on boats, buses, bridges and classrooms, Jack and Meg White took to the stage on George Street in St. John's and played a single note - reportedly a C-sharp - before announcing they have "now officially played in every province and territory in Canada" and leaving the stage.

Hundreds of fans showed up for the last minute event, but were pre-warned that the show would be just one-note long.

Later that evening, the band played a full-length set at Mile One Stadium in the city, the final show on their Canadian tour proper.

I wonder if the audience cheered for an encore?

This conforms what I've suspected for a long time: The White Stripes are annoying and dull.

Or maybe I'm just a cranky old man.

I find them annoying, dull, and over-rated, with a few exceptional songs here and there that I like.

Rick, you're not alone.... though we are definitely in the minority on this one.

I am certainly not a huge fan of the white stripes, but I think thats pretty funny. I hope those fans didn't have to pay though

I sort of think this is the coolest thing they've done since the Lego animation way back when.

This is a White Stripes show I would actually attend. Well, as long as that note didn't include Meg banging on her drum.

The Lego animation was cool. But you can thank Michel Gondry for that. Now HE is a genius. Jack-n-Meg? Not so much.

Also: Char hahahahahahahahahahahahha
