Um, yeah.
And things may get worse.
From Portland's KPTV:
Posts intended to protect pedestrians from traffic on Keizer, OR streets are turning heads and leading to complaints.
The city spent $18,000 to install 52 cement posts on the sidewalk along Lockhaven Drive and River Road North. However, many residents said the posts bare [sic] a striking resemblance to male anatomy.
The group that selected the posts, Keizer’s River Road Renaissance Advisory Committee, is requesting the city affix the posts with metal collars around the top. Chains would then connect the posts.
The new additions could cost the city $7,000.
If the changes don’t work, the city said the posts will have to be replaced.
OK, is the RRRAC into bondage, or do they really think it's gonna be ok when the phallus posts get geared-up with metal collars around the heads tops and connected by chains?
I can't wait for the follow-up story...

I bet it ends up on the ballot. That is how everything is solved in the Pacific Northwest.

Am I wrong, or are these kinds of penis-posts just about all over? I never would have thought they were suggestive until Oregon started makeing a fuss...

They are all over, and (without clamps and chains) they're pretty innocuous.
