"You’re Beautiful" has been voted the most irritating song of all time.

Taken from this article:

James Blunt's multimillion-selling ballad "You’re Beautiful" has been voted the most irritating song of all time.

Despite reaching number one in 11 countries and making the singer a star around the world, the track polled more votes than "Axel F" by Crazy Frog.

Other tracks in the top 10 included "Mmm Bop" by Hanson, "Mr. Blobby" by Mr. Blobby, and "The Birdie Song" by the Tweets.

Reported by London's The Sun newspaper, John Sewell of market researcher company www.onepoll.com said the result was a surprise.

He added: James Blunt isn’t the obvious choice, but any song that is at number one for so long does start to get annoying."

"You're Beautiful" was number one for five weeks in the U.K. in 2005.

The full top 10 for OnePoll's Most Irritating Song of All Time is as follows:

1. "You’re Beautiful" - James Blunt

3. "MMMBop" - Hanson

FINALLY! you have no idea how happy this makes me -- although i will say that Snow Patrol's "Counting Cars" or whatever it's called is a close runner-up.

Are these people too young to remember "Pac Man Fever," or was that not a hit in England? :)

p.s. what's Mr. Blobby?

Ah, see what you miss by not being British? "Axel F" was covered ... for a RINGTONE ... by a frog with exposed genitalia ... and it became a #1 hit in the UK!

A *ringtone* as a #1 hit. This fact has mystified me enough for the ages.

I like Mika too! Whether you're a fan or not, "Grace Kelly" is a great pop song, and even if you don't agree, you must admit there are loads of way, way more deserving bad songs. Stupid lists.

I'd rather drink a mug of hot cat spray than ever hear "You're Beautiful" again.

Sometimes I really love Weird Al..

NOTE: Is it so wrong to still want to get naked with James Blunt despite his awful song??

Am I the only one who remembers that "We Built This City" was already named "The Worst Song Ever", yet doesn't even crack the top 10 in this list? "My Heart Will Go On" was number 50 on the same Blender survey. Did it all of a sudden get much, much worse while "We Built This City" got much, much better over just a few years?
