Seven nights of Bright Eyes, by the numbers
Submitted by ChrisB on June 11, 2007.This morning the New York Times has a story about sending a blogger to 7 (!) consecutive Bright Eyes shows at Town Hall in Manhattan.
He compiled a handy, color-coded, collection of charts that keeps track of things like the level of applause for each special guest (which included Lou Reed, Ben Gibbard, Norah Jones, and Jenny Lewis) and the ratio of times fans shouted "I love you Conor!" to times Conor Oberst said "I love you too" back.
Not covered or explained: how this guy got the job instead of igLiz.

I know... the funny thing is as I was reading this post I was thinking "WOW - I would have given anything to cover this!" But I have to hand it to that reporter's spreadsheet and graphing savvy. BRAVO to you!
It has inspired me to look into tickets for the LA Philharmonic / Bright Eyes show... the ticket prices are as follows:
Single Ticket Prices for This Event:
Garden Box Seats: $105.00
Terrace Box Seats: $90.00
SuperSeats: $65.00
Benches D E F G2 J2 K L M N P: $40.00
Benches Q R S T U W V X: $20.00
In addition to the air ticket down there, I'm starting to question it... The 7 nights of Bright Eyes in NYC seems like a much better deal.
Can anyone find a youtube video of Bright Eyes' recent appearance on Craig Ferguson?
