Tonight in Seattle:

Trash talkin'

Have you heard about Linda Carlin? She's a Seattle resident who has decided that for two weeks she's going to carry around all of her non-recycleable trash in a backpack around with her to raise awareness about how much garbage the average American throws into landfills. So far in her pack (which she had to upgrade to a bigger bag part way through the project) she has used dental floss, Q-tips, a prescription bottle, dryer lint, and a pen that exploded in her purse. There's packaging from a store purchase, caps from plastic bottles, plastic wrap and a plastic foam egg carton.

She's also been calling companies to urge them to use more environmentally friendly packaging.

Read more about her project on her blog, Trash Talk.

Durn, the title made me thinking this was going to be an open thread featuring your momma jokes.

You only thought that 'cause yo' momma dropped you on yo' head.

Yo momma's so fat, her blood type is Ragu.
