Living in the UK, vicariously

White Stripes vinylI just ordered my copy of this week's NME (complete with the ltd ed, mint WHITE STRIPES 7")!

It will be shipped from the UK to ensure that it will have the EXCLUSIVE WHITE STRIPES VINYL that comes with all NMEs sold from UK newstands this week. Alas, copies of this week's NME  purchased stateside will not have the EXCLUSIVE WHITE STRIPES VINYL.

As noted on the NME.com shop page, this 7" 'Rag and Bone' record is an exclusive first release from the White Stripes' forthcoming album - on collectors' edition gatefold-sleeve vinyl and is only available with this week's NME.

I'm not sure how limited the quantities are for online orders, but you can still order yours now!

Muahahahaha, and I will only have to go down the road to get it. Hmmm, I don't really want to buy the NME, do you think anyone would mind if I stuck the vinyl onto another magazine and bought that instead?

Oh greggoir! Does this confirm your Britishness (in that you're not falling gaga for a Detroit band - no matter how much your countrymen market them to you)? Or are you just trying to hurt me?

Oh igLiz! I think its a bit of the latter :p I'm quite partial to the Stripes, plus Jack's got lovely arms. The only reason I don't rush out to get their stuff is that my best friend is related to his wife and his family are go ga-ga over them. Its my one musical connection and I intend to exploit it well.

Dude, can I shake your hand?
(and he has great arms and an unshakable thematic sense)

You'd have to fly me over first.
Jack's not just got great arms, he's a lovely bloke too. My friend's grandparents love him because he bought them flowers. If only all pseudo-blues musicians were as nice...

I KNEW Jack was a good guy to the core! He's so authentically retro.
