All the talk around town is the Beastie Boys show at the Crocodile, but folks have an alternative (or shall we say y'alternative) in Ballard.

Tonight at the Tractor Tavern Bellingham band Chuckanut Drive will be celebrating the release of their album Crooked Mile Home. From what we've heard here at imaginary headquarters, the band blends Wilco with Rolling Stones to craft comfortable bar-band songs. 

Opening the night is an imaginary favorite Prosser. Prosser, the work of multi-instrumentalist Eric Woodruff, invigorates standard alt-folk with smart complex melodies.

The evening is going to be a melancholic one - perfect for consoling oneself about missing Mike D and crew at the Crocodile.
