The homophobia stops here

Here's a chance to tip the scales of this VERY HOMOPHOBIC group's own survey. The AFA (American Family Association) is expecting an overwhelming majority of respondents to say that they would be 'less-likely' to do business with a company if they knew it supported the "homosexual agenda," whatever that is. So far, they are getting the results they seek. Of course, they are only sending it where they will get the expected results. Let's change the outcome by completing the ONE question survey and sending it to everyone we know who is tired of this archaic and hateful way of thinking. Follow this link to take action on this important issue.

(Just make sure you use an email address you keep for junk mail. Otherwise you'll have to send a blank "unsubscribe" mail to them to stay off their mailing list.)

It's unbelievable that they can make the word "family" seem synonymous with "hate."

Read Dan Savage's The Commitment for a pretty damned good argument against the horseshit they're spewing over there.

Nice one. I reposted on MySpace — maybe if a few more people do that it will blossom into an e-movement. It was really sad to see the drastic difference in responses once I completed the poll — but then, as you said, they're counting on only reaching their demographic, so let's turn shit upside down.

This organization is awful. They are the ones who threaten sponsors and networks with boycotts when they don't agree with the content that is being aired. Sadly, they are successful sometimes because they have data skewed like that of this survey. I can see they might use this survey to bolster their argument. Let's take this step to undermine their power.

Weird - I just voted three times with different names and email address (and security codes) and the tallied numbers keep coming up the same... do you all smell a republican rat? Is there a tally delay (to verify votes)?

I dunno. Maybe after they realized people weren't voting the way they wanted, they shut off the counter for the... wait, it looks like pulled the survey altogether? I smell something fishy.

Maybe I'm the embittered New Englander, but if they were being so particular about who to ask, will spiking their poll punch do much? They're just call it a Big Gay Conspiracy anyway. *Sigh*.

Indeed, I think the hip liberals hit up their survey cause I'm getting a page not found error. SUCCESS!!!

Not working anymore?

Was all excited to skew the data...

It sounds like a joke without a punchline:
How many liberals does it take to turn off a homophobic survey?

imaginary dana said on April 25, 2007:

Answer: three imaginary ones!!!

Erik without bitterness would be like a cupcake without frosting: still fun, but not as interesting.

Hooray for the interweb!
If you want to shut down all their surveys, it's as easy as signing up for their "Action Alerts." Every time they post a survey, you can spread it around. How awesome would it be to end the hate agenda?

I like the way you think, friend2all. Maybe you could be our imaginary informant every time there's a new hate agenda item?? We can round up the imaginary posse...

Hmm... they sent me a confirmation link this morning... and when I clicked on it I got another email congratulating me for my new AFA membership. Sounds like an opportunity for Betsy to keep on fucking shit up. Muahahaha.

imaginary char said on April 26, 2007:

I got one too! Maybe I should write them back and ask them what happened to their survey?

It's hard to believe that folks in this country continue to promote intolerance, which therefore promotes violence.
THIS WEBSITE PROMOTES JUST THAT! WHAT A SHAME....
