Gorillaz in the Mist

Well, Damon Albarn must be bored with yet another project. According to NME, Albarn says that we've seen the last of the Gorillaz in album form - the only thing left is a potential film directed by Terry Gilliam (which is exciting in itself). Oddly though, the cartoon kids from the Gorillaz might not play themselves in the movie. Yeah, figure that one out, my friends.

One thing I've always wondered is how Damon feels that the biggest US success he's ever had came from a fictional cartoon band? I'm still convinced it is because Blur was too British for its own good to become popular in the US and the Gorillaz never had that problem. Then again, I guess I wouldn't complain if I made a pile of money from a cartoon version of myself. Ah, to dream.

Yea, really, how do you follow success with comics than with playing in a band with Tony Allen, Paul Simonon, and Simon Tong?

I hope with all this free time he's focusing on convincing (and apologizing to) Graham Coxon to record the next Blur album with them.
