Maybe Peter Parker was Irish
Submitted by Erik Gonzalez on April 19, 2007.In the realm of bizarro world, U2 will be helping Julie Taymor make a Spiderman musical. I really can't believe I just typed that sentence.
U2 has some experience with musicals as Bono & the Edge did write some music for a musical version of A Clockwork Orange (for those of you who remember the b-side of "The Fly," "Alec descends into Hell for a Glass of Milk"), but Spidey as Broadway fare? Well, yeah.

A couple years ago I went to see Chuck Palahniuk speak about his new book. It was there he tells the audience "Fight Club" was in the process of being made into a Broadway musical, and David Fincher was already on board to direct, Brad Pitt had agreed to star, and Trent Reznor was doing the music.
Turns out this was just Chuck pulling our legs.
