I made 14 movies in the 80's and this even scares me!

Joanna Newsom's voice terrifies the pants off me. I have no idea how anyone could tolerate that entire record.
Though I'll stand by Bjork.

Maybe we can add Will Oldham/Bonnie "Prince" Billy to the roster. That would be an AWESOME show. They could do a cover of "All for Love", but with, you know, Bjork, Joanna and Will instead of Rod, Sting & Bryan.

YOU MEAN??!! I'm not alone??! I am NOT a fan of Joanna's voice either.. I think her music is lovely and interesting, and her videos are beautiful..but as soon as she starts singing...I lose interest.. I adore Bjork...her voice is quirky too, but she doesn't sound like a squeeky mouse the entire song.. she mixes it up.

I deny this thread ever being written.
I am trying DESPERATELY to get into one of these shows! Calling in every and all favors anyone at Radio City owes me.

Joe - if you weren't so smart, witty, charming, cute, wonderful, nice, sweet and brilliant I'd think you were my arch enemy. (you know, between this and that whole Bright Eyes thing).
But as it stands, I still think your as pretty as pink lemonade. I wish you well in your endeavors to get into this (fill in PG-13 adjective here) show.

Joanna is beautiful, her voice makes me weep with joy and her musical stylings are both completely original and intimately intricate. At the very least I hope we can all agree that despite your taste in music and even if you hate her voice, she is not afraid to be herself without trying to conform to more popular genres.
I'm seeing her at the Sydney Opera House next week!

Joanna is cool as hell. Try to play the harp like that, see if you can do it. I'd give my left nut to play like that.. which is alot considering that I don't even have nuts.
