Attention Seattle music fans: the band formerly known as New West Motels is now called Red Sky. According to an email from the band:

The new name more aptly describes both our more solemn AND more happy tunes, and puts to rest the misunderstandings our old name elicited, between the alt-country assumptions, and confusion around New West Records, The New Motels, and Western State Motels (a record label, and two other bands on the national level).

The newly-nomenclatured band will celebrate by headlining an all-local lineup at the Crocodile Cafe next Friday, with Young Sportsmen, Shake Some Action!, and Central Services.
