The Proclaimers = #1!
Submitted by Erik Gonzalez on April 10, 2007.Well, hopefully not start another stir, but the latest NME singles chart place the Proclaimers (yes, those Proclaimers) new verson of "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" as the #1 single in the UK. I'll be darned. The single was re-released with some special guests as a part of the Proclaimers Best of.... The Proclaimers held off Avril Lavigne from the top spot.
TIG favorites Kings of Leon hit #1 on the album charts, with Maximo Park's new one hitting #2. I'm excited to hear both of those albums, especially Maximo Park.

There's a nice article on the Proclaimers in the new Mojo. It reminded me of how 'weird' they were when I first saw them on 120 minutes. Totally different than anything else out there at the time. The time, being 1987.
