I just got this tidbit in my Aversion morning email: Robert Smith (from the Cure) and Ashlee Simpson (from the tabloids) are teaming up to work on her new record. Wait a minute... wha?!?!?
Robert Smith.... working with Ashlee Simpson.
Robert.... Ashlee...
Really??
Blech.

He also hooked up with Korn on their last unplugged project, so I think he might just be so out of touch with what's going on in the music world, he just does what his handlers book for him.

And anyhow, didn't he also team up with Blink 182? Is he just trying to stay relevant?
More importantly: Do you think he even remembers how to play any of the songs on 'Faith' or 'Pornography' anymore, or is it all the cheeseball 'Disintegration' stuff these days?
