Tonight's Recommended Show: The Beautiful Clarks, Weary, and Transistor Heart at the Crocodile
Submitted by imaginary liz on April 3, 2007.
Tonight's bill at the Crocodile is a soothing alt-country flavored line up of up and coming Seattle bands. The Beautiful Clarks headline the night and their set will feature songs from their recently recorded release, Laid Up. From what I've heard, their sad sad songs have Woodie Guthrie authenticity with a Damien Jurado education and a slight Texas twang. Fingers are crossed that they might have one or two friends join them on the stage tonight-- Rosie Thomas and Damien Jurado (among others) lended a very talented helping hand on vocals.
Opening up is Weary and Transistor Heart (which includes members of Western States) to get the Richard Bucker-esque somber ball rolling.

Yep! It looks like they were taken at the lovely Soundhouse while they were there recording. There's more pics on their myspace blog page.
