KEXP and TIG present an Audioasis showcase for the girls
Submitted by imaginary dana on July 31, 2007.Three Imaginary Girls is pleased as can be to be co-sponsoring the KEXP Audioasis monthly benefit showcase for August. The show will take place this Saturday, August 4th at the High Dive in Fremont, and will be a night for the girls!
As you likely know, each monthly Audioasis showcase benefits a different charity, and this month is no exception. Proceeds go to one of my favorite local charities, Powerful Voices, which aims to "foster adolescent girls' development by providing programs and promoting social justice so girls can realize their dreams, engage their communities and shape a better world. Their vision is that all girls live healthy, personally meaningful lives in a society that values them."
The lineup is completely worthy of such a great charity, full of talented and inspiring women:
- 6:30 - 7:00 Carrie Biell (LIVE on KEXP)
- 8:00 - 8:30 Emilia Sosa (LIVE on KEXP)
- 9:30 - 10:15 Danger Bird
- 10:30 - 11:15 Jen Wood
- 11:30 - 12:15 The Kindness Kind
- 12:30 - 1:15 Emilia Sosa

Hey everybody -- apparently the times have switched. Carrie will go on at 8:00 pm and Emilia Sosa at 6:30 pm.

Oops.. There has been some confusion on this. I was just told I'm playing at 6:30 after all. They switched my set to 8:00 but then switched it back to 6:30 because it's be promoted that way. Sorry ladies. Act like nothing happened.
