Great review, Heather! Dropping Sea Wolf's sound into the middle of Saturday-night-Fremont seems like quite the juxtaposition, but as you point out, it paid off. The mood near the end of the set reminded me of the time I saw Kenny Garrett play outside in Downtown Flint at a jazz festival. It seemed as if the whole city stopped committing crimes and came together. And after hearing your Sea-Wolf-inspired-frat-boy diplomacy story, I'm wondering how things might be if Condoleezza had "Leaves in the River" on her iPod. Anyway, the show was great. If anyone is interested, I have a few more photos on my website.
