I think you nailed exactly why I don't like going to shows in Fremont on weekend nights - it really is nothing against the venues themselves (although Nectar does a better job of keeping the "what band is this again? This better not suck" crowd at bay than the High Dive does - that's probably because it's bigger).

I'm glad you were still able to have a good time - a really good show always overcomes all of those obstacles.
