The 300 dollar version was limited to 2500 copies that, yes, included vinyl as well as a photo book signed by Reznor himself. They sold out I believe the first day this went on sale.
Everyone should get the 5 dollar version and then, after deciding how much they like it, buy the vinyl when it hits retail.
I, for one, enjoy the hell out of it. It's very nice. As though Reznor purposefully set out to do something similar to Eno's ambient series. (naturally, Reznor's is decidedly darker).
