If the complainers really want to hear Stephin being snarky, they should listen to his in-studio from KEXP (found on the streaming archive, aired March 11th at 3pm). Poor guy had a cold but still performed beautifully. Still, it was an incredibly awkward interview to watch. But I agree, that is part of his mystique.
ps - "You Don't Love Me Anymore" is called "All Dressed Up in Dreams" (sung by Mary Timony on the first 6ths record).
