I'm beginning to wonder if anyone who says No Country is the best movie this year (or this century) has actually seen the film. I think it ranks high on one list only: the most overrated film in recent memory. I wanted to gouge my eyes out. Not from the violence mind you because I'm not at all turned off by blood and it wasn't close to the most violent movie I've ever seen. But it was simply downright boring and pointless. And it wasn't even beautiful if you don't think movies need a point. Does anyone realize that the movie was nothing more than one guy chasing another for several wasted minutes of your life? Wow, how groundbreaking! That is all that happened in the whole movie followed by some monologues that were supposed to make it all deep. There is nothing that was gained from seeing that or producing that lame story for anyone. Please people try to remember what really good, powerful movies can do to you and No Country will look like C-Span in comparison.
