i didn't like '100th window' much at all upon first listen (due to being a HUGE fan of 'mezzanine' and it having very little in common with that album or the rest of their work), but i find new things to like every time i sit down with it. it does seem a bit unfocused and every track is very long, but there is some heart in the music beneath the basslines and microsound percussion.
'danny the dog' / 'unleashed', however, is terrible. here's to hoping that their impending full length has some redeemable traits. 'false flags' from 'collected' seems to tread the same water as '100th window', but at least it's around the 5-minute mark and not the 8-minute mark.
