about the show:

i will echo liz's sentiment that never have i been to a show where the local bands were just SO MUCH BETTER than the headlining touring bands. sorry voxtrot, but all i could think was, "okkervil river did it first & did it better." not that they *sounded* like OR, but their stage presence and stage moves seemed a little overwrought and a cheapened version of something i've seen and loved so many times before...
