I'm gearing up to DJ my first official club night, so I have going through ALOT of old records. I've actually heard myself say the phrase, "They just don't make pop songs like the used to," at least twice in the past three weeks.
Highlights include:
The Best of the Shirelles
The Quadrophenia Soundtrack
Happiness Is Being with the Spinners
When I'm just walking around, it's been Pavement (Brighten the Corners,) The Beatles (Magical Mystery Tour,) The Modern Lovers, and Heavenly.
And, Kiku, I don't think the Blues Brothers are embarassing at all. All that matters is that you like hearing it!
