as a fan of dfa/lcd soundystem - i will say that 'sound of silver' is a very boring album, spotty at best, but slightly better than the self-titled debut. the middle of the album is simply boring and not at all innovative. it's like taking the best parts of the fall, improving on them 1%, and standing behind it like it's revolutionary.

also, does anyone really listen to the fake-ass country-revivalist americana-lite stuff anymore? didn't that well run dry about 50 years ago?
